Does frozen pizza have to taste like a sad excuse for the real thing? We don’t think so. On the contrary, we believe a frozen pizza should be just as drool-worthy as at your favorite cozy Italian restaurant around the corner. This heartfelt conviction is what led us to establish Gustavo Gusto.
But how do you spark a revolution like that? Good intentions alone are obviously not enough. But over ten years in the restaurant business running a wood-fired pizzeria go a long way. We’re not breaking new ground. We’re just the first to return to the source. In other words, our dough is given an extra-long maturation period before being gently stretched by hand.
Then it goes into the stone hearth at over 400°C. The extra thin base is topped only with choice mozzarella and other high-quality ingredients. As far as possible, these are produced regionally and sustainably. Flavour enhancers and additional preservatives are absolute no-nos. At around 30 centimeters, our pizzas are also the same size as the real deal from a pizzeria. That’s about as authentic as it gets.
More and more people set store by quality food. Thanks to Gustavo Gusto, they can now also find it in the freezer aisle.
